About us

comemso GmbH (complex embedded solutions) was founded in December 2009 by Dr.-Ing. Kiriakos Athanasas and Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Anita Athanasas. In 2010 development of the Battery Cell Simulator started as the first own product for testing battery management systems of electric vehicles. The second product family to be added in 2011 was devices for charging system analysis. In summer 2020, we moved into our new research and development building right next to our headquarters. We are situated in Ostfildern near Stuttgart, Germany.

Best-in-class in BMS testing since more than a decade. Our battery cell simulator enables you to develop a safe and robust battery management system. Test and optimize your algorithms for active or passive balancing to increase EV range and improve battery cell health and ageing. Our product can also be configured as a hardware-in-the-loop (BMS HiL) system.

The systems can be configured according to your individual requirements: from portable tabletop systems with 12 to 36 cells, which are ideal for chip manufacturers, start-ups or academic entry, to medium-sized systems with 24 to 60 cells, which could be interesting to developers of battery management systems and for development of active and passive balancing, to maxed out systems with up to 240 cells.

With all comemso systems, battery management systems can also be tested from cell level to pack level. Regardless of their size, all of our systems can be configured as end-of-line variants for continuous operation and highes precision (less dynamic) as well.

Battery cell simulator (tabletop, portable)

Tabletop systems can be configured with 12 to 36 cells. These systems are ideal for chip manufacturers, start-ups or entry-level research.
