PRIMES has over 30 years of experience in the development of laser diagnostics solutions. We develop and produce market leading systems for beam characterization in industrial applications. Our spectrum of high-precision, durable products is essential in many branches, such as automotive industry, industrial machinery, additive manufacturing as well as R&D and laser manufacturing. PRIMES is an important player on the global market, represented by 14 distributors and a subsidiary in Japan. We have a clear customer focus and provide worldwide consulting. We focus on robust, industry proven, ready-to-use-systems for industrial environments. They are easy to integrate in production processes due to standardized interfaces. Thanks to the in-house design of hard- and software we can offer optimal solutions for a wide variety of laser measuring tasks as well as for nearly all major laser- and machine builders. FocusMonitor FM+

The FocusMonitor FM+ is a versatile opto-mechanically scanning diagnostics system for the analysis of focused laser beams from the far infrared to the blue spectral range. It directly measures power density distributions of high power lasers and does therefore allow a comprehensive evaluation of complete setups at full power. As state-of-the-art toolbox it reliably determines beam properties, geometric dimensions, focal positions, beam parameter products, beam quality factors and entire caustics of focused laser beams. The fast and easy exchange of the measuring tip enables the FM+ to measure different laser beam sources and systems solely by selecting the optimal measuring tip and corresponding detector.

FocusParameterMonitor FPM

The FPM is a compact, autonomous sensor that measures laser power, power density distribution and beam propagation. It is designed for integration into a production line and can perform measurements during part changes or other down times within a fraction of a second. The FPM is the ideal tool to monitor the overall performance of your laser station. Especially for large and cost intensive parts at the beginning of a value chain, such as batteries and fuel cells, the documentation and monitoring of the tools used (including the laser) becomes more important. Errors in the beam distribution can be identified before they lead to a defective part, and the condition of the laser is documented, should a part fail in a later process.

PRIMES PowerMeasuringModule (PMM) is the established standard for measuring high power lasers in industrial processes. It is designed for fast and reliable quality assurance in a rough and highly synchronised environment. Thanks to its standardised interfaces it is easy to integrate and delivers highly accurate measurement results directly to the plant. By using the well-known calorimetric principle, extremely fast measurements within 3 seconds are possible. Enough for a qualification e.g. during a part exchange in a production line.

The MicroSpotMonitor MSM+ is designed to meet market requirements of ever increasing applications using USP and high brilliant laser sources at different wavelengths. The camera based system measures all relevant parameters of a focused laser, including the power density distribution with the highest resolution and accuracy. The new “plus generation” of our established MicroSpotMonitor provides higher measuring rates, enhanced algorithms and new measuring modes. Fully automatic caustic measurements and new features within our LaserDiagnosticsSoftware LDS increase the usability for basic measurements, while providing detailed information for in-depth analyses of your beam profile.
