In order to offer synthetic and natural anode graphite producers as key players in battery production an economical and ecological solution with high capacity and low energy consumption, NEA Process Technology has developed the NEA|Sphere grinding and rounding and classification systems. With this process, a significantly higher yield can be achieved with a low CO2 footprint and low OPEX at the same time.
Individual solutions and processes for sizing and shaping of synthetic graphite, needle cokes and natural graphite flakes have been developed and implemented, such that the NEA|Sphere range of equipment provides optimally adapted solutions for each requirement, such as steep PSDs, high Tap Densities, low surface area, etc.
The NEA|Sphere S shaping system provides a solution for shaping of synthetic graphite, needle coke and natural graphite. In combination with the NEA|Sphere M and C grinding and classifying solutions, particularly high capacities at high yields can be achieved.
The NEA|Sphere S60 represents the largest graphite shaping equipment available worldwide and has been built, delivered and put into production multiple times.
The NEA|Sphere M range of particle size reduction equipment provides for highly efficient grinding of anode materials, such as needle coke, natural graphite and pitch coke. It offers a wide operating range such that it can grind graphites with a low generation of superfines, but also pitch cokes down to < 2 µm.
